D-Link DNS-325 ShareCenter Overview

This week we’ve been tossing a D-Link DNS-325 around the office, when out of nowhere one of the NASDestruction.com team members had the wonderful idea of actually doing some work and getting a little coverage of the product live on the site. Genius..

D-Link have put in the effort to do a handy video for those of us who want a quick visual overview of the product. So sit back hit play and take it all in.

*Hard drives only included for DNS-325 1TB and DNS-325 2TB. RAID 1 mirroring requires the use of two internal SATA drives. To avoid data incompatibility in RAID 1 operation, use SATA drives from the same manufacturer. Formatted drive capacity for RAID 1 operation is dependent on the drive capacity of the lowest-sized drive. May not work with older generation SATA drives. For a list of SATA drives that have been tested to work with the ShareCenter Shadow, visit D-Link support websites.
**
Maximum HDD capacity supported may increase in future depending on firmware upgrades.

Summary:

Well at a glance the product seems to be a nice successor to the DNS-320, we should hopefully have a review up shortly with some network and transfer speed tests as well as some handy tutorials for installing some nifty little addons such as FunPlug.
